Chiayi Park 2

(Originally posted March 24th, 2010)

We wandered around the park for awhile. It was really warm - about 29 degrees Celsius (84 Fahrenheit) which is pretty good for early March.

In the middle of the park there is a Japanese building. It's a museum now. I'm not sure if it's from the Japanese occupation or a reproduction. We did see an old Japanese building in the city that was falling apart.

It took us awhile to figure out what this building was. It's a tower with nothing for the first nine floors. The tenth floor is a expensive kitchen appliance shop and the 11th and 12th floors are a coffee shop. It was good views of the park and the city.

Glass panels in the floor that let you look down to the ground. It took me awhile to get the courage to actually stand on it. There are signs saying don't run or jump on the glass, which really made me feel secure.
